Senate receives letter for the corrected version of 2016 budget from the presidency

“It will be recalled that on Tuesday, 22 December, 2015, I presented my 2016 budget proposals to the joint sitting of the national assembly. I submitted a draft bill accompanied by a schedule of details.Saraki says copies of the corrected version will be sent to the Senators today so that deliberations on it will commence from tomorrow Wednesday January 20th.
At the time of submission, we indicated that because the details had just been produced, we would have had to check to ensure that there were no errors in the detailed breakdown contained in the schedule. That has since been completed and I understand that the corrections have been submitted. The national assembly would therefore have the details as submitted on the 22nd and a copy containing the corrections submitted last week. It appears that this has led to some confusion. In this regard, please find attached the corrected version. This is the version the national assembly should work with as my 2016 budget estimates. The draft bill remains the same and there are no changes in any of the figures.”

Rich Man Who's Sleeping With Ice Prince's Girlfriend Reveals Their Private Photos

My own is that, I don't understand why ladies will be describing Yoruba
guys as Yoruba demons, yet can't stay away from the so called "demons".
This one was even sleeping with a 'demon' secretly. Laughs!
Anyway, I pity Ice Prince because he loved blindly and that is the problem with some ladies of today. Once she can see that you are blindly in love with her, my brother your name is sorry.
He was even defending her until he saw the truth. Now the story has changed. See revelations...Anyway, I pity Ice Prince because he loved blindly and that is the problem with some ladies of today. Once she can see that you are blindly in love with her, my brother your name is sorry.

Akin posted the photos on IG and after he was sure many people had seen them, he deleted the pics.
Sadly, Ice Prince is now begging all those disappointed. Probably he was warned but he didn't listen...
Prophet set member ablaze, says God asked him to do it
Madam
Bosede, is lying critically ill in hospital after the prophet of the
Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) on Unity Street in Abule-Egba, Lagos,
set her ablaze during last Sunday's service. .
During
the sermon, the prophet had claimed he got a revelation that there was
God in their midst, adding that if the woman was set ablaze she would
not suffer burns.
According
to Madam Bosede, who joined the church a month ago: “Our prophet said
the spirit of God whispered to him that I would not burn if he sets me
on fire. When I came out, they poured kerosene on my body and set me
ablaze.
But,
unfortunately, I was burnt beyond recognition and before the other
church members could get water, the deed had already been done.” The
cleric later said that he clearly heard a voice instructing him to set a
member on fire to prove and confirm that God was in their midst. .
His
words: “I heard the voice clearly, but I don’t know what happened after
we set fire on her. God has been speaking to me since and it has been
working, so I wonder why now."
Some
members, however, left the church, doubting their prophet’s
credibility, adding: “We cannot worship here again, who knows who the
spirit will ask him to burn next.”
A
resident of the area, Nkechi, however said: “I believe it’s the sins of
the victim that made her burn, the prophet of God could not have lied.”
Derenle gets injured on set
They
say that true artists suffer for their craft, but perhaps no artist has
suffered like myself on this hustle of ours! The moment I got the
script titled #PepperSoup from Grace Oboba Edwin-Okon, with me as the lead character, I just wanted to jump onboard! .
And
yes, I jumped on in my gangsta mode! Whilst shooting the first scene, I
was supposed to pass out but in a bid to make it convincing, I fell on
my face and accidentally split my eye brow area open! I bled like
crazy!!! REAL BLOOD!!!
All
in a bid to make my acting more convincing, I was supposed to drop into
a faint in the very first scene of the movie "PEPPER SOUP" but I guess I
miscalculated and fell hard on a metallic object on the floor that
pierced my face. .
I
kinda blacked out for a few seconds and felt something warm running
down my face...Truth is, a blood vessel just a lil above my right eye
(an inch away from my eyebrow bone) was burst open and it was hard to
control the bleeding!
The
production team was stunned and scared at the same time. They almost
called off the production but I refused! The producer wanted to strike
set and cancel shoot but I refused! Say what?
First
rule: the show must go on! And I was kinda lucky we were shooting in a
hospital so there were nurses to dress the wound. Had to add some extra
extra extensions to my hair to hide the plaster.
And
I got back on set like nothing happened! Im in a lot of pain but
hey.... THE SHOW MUST GO ON! And I finished this job with all the grace,
strength, resilience and amazing character interpretation that I could
muster!"
In Colombia Authorities passes tougher law to tackle high rates of acid attacks
Acid attack survivors in Colombia
hope a new law that punishes perpetrators of the crime with up to 50
years in prison will act as a deterrent in a country with high rates of
acid attacks.
Until now most Colombians
convicted of acid attacks have received prison sentences of up to six
years, and some criminals have been allowed to serve their sentences
under house arrest.
The law, which came
into force on Monday, defines acid attacks as a specific crime and
increases the maximum sentence to 50 years in jail for convicted
offenders. It also aims to ensure acid victims receive better state
medical care.
"With this law, people will think twice before committing this act," Colombian acid attack survivor Natalia Ponce de Leon told local media after the law came into force.
Although acid attacks are most common in South Asia, Colombia reported one of the highest rates per capita in the world in 2012.
Since
2004, 526 women and 361 men have been attacked with acid across
Colombia, according to the country's National Institute of Legal
Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
The new law was spearheaded by and named after Ponce, who was severely disfigured when a stalker hurled acid at her in 2014.
The
sulphuric acid melted the skin on her face, neck, abdomen and legs, and
left a quarter of her body burnt. The attack shocked the South American
country.
The 34-year-old has undergone about 15 operations to reconstruct her face using artificial skin from the Netherlands.
Ponce
said a key challenge is ensuring state health authorities provide the
medical care acid attack victims are now entitled to under the new law.
Victims often undergo months of reconstructive surgery and psychological
therapy.
"We don't want to see more people destroyed," Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos said at the presidential palace when signing the law on Monday.
Doctors
and activists say many acid attacks are committed by jealous,
vindictive husbands and boyfriends. They say Colombia's macho culture
condones violence against women and blames them for it.
Acid
attacks survivors are often poor women with little education and a long
history of domestic violence, women's rights groups say.
About
1,500 acid attacks are reported globally each year, with women being
the victims in 80 percent of cases, according to London-based charity
Acid Survivors Trust International, which says the actual number is
probably much higher since most victims are too scared to speak out.
While
common in South Asia, acid attacks also occur in the Middle East and
Latin America, where the Dominican Republic and Jamaica are hotspots for
the crime.
Kano Govt. releases N3m for procurement of disinfectants
The Kano State
Government said it has released N3 million for procurement of
disinfectant to clean poultry farms affected by the recent outbreak of bird flu in the state.
The Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr Nasiru Gawuna, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Tuesday.
He
said that the measure had become necessary so as to check the spread of
the disease to other farms across the state and beyond.
“As soon as the disinfectant is procured, it will be used to clean all the poultry farms found to be affected by the disease.
“Government
is also doing its best to protect all the farms that are not yet
affected by the disease and ensure that the disease does spread to other
places,” he said.
He also disclosed that a
team of veterinary doctors and other experts had visited the affected
farms with a view to assessing the situation.
The commissioner said that they were expected to forward their report to the state government for immediate action.
According
to him, the state government is also expecting intervention from the
Federal Government within the shortest time possible
NAN
recalls that over 35, 000 birds have so far been culled in 10 affected
farms since the disease resurfaced in the state about two weeks ago.

Popular ghanian actor take on how to treat your wife (JOHNDUMELO)
My view on how to treat women.
1. Don't compare ur wife to other women. U don't know what their husbands r going through.
2.
NEVER expose ur wife's weakness to ur family or friends or run to them
whenever u have issues. Problems r best solved between u and ur woman.
3.
Don't think u r man so u can use intimidation, shout or violence to
communicate ur moods. Agreesive men don't make a happy home.
4. Speak gently and calmly to ur wife. Never raise ur voice at her, it demeans her and shows u think she is stupid.
5. Do ur responsibilities as man...don't leave every to ur woman.
6.
Never blame ur wife if she doesn't take care of the home everyday. She
is swamped with house work and helping u raise the kids.
7. Don't be wasteful spending money on drinks, friends and extended family. The wife and children are ur first responsibility.
8. Sex is also important to women. Her pleasure should be considered before ur own.
9. Never compare ur wife to ur ex-girlfriends. If you loved them so much why didn't u marry them instead of ur wife.
10.
Never shout down ur wife or challenge her in front of the children. The
children are watching. They won't listen and obey her too.
11. Tell ur wife she's beautiful even if u know she's looking normal. Women love compliment.
12. Don't forget that women also want attention and someone to share their thougts with. Never be too busy for ur wife.
13. A prayerful man is a better equipped husband. Pray always for ur wife and family. Don't leave the prayers to ur wife.
14. Treat ur wife like a queen. Buy her gifts, take her shopping and once in a while, cook for her.
15.
Please don't forget ur these anniversary dates. Wedding, engagement,
the first time u kissed. I beg u. These dates mean a lot to women.
(Don't ask me why). I also don't know.
16.
Ur mother should not have the final say in ur marriage. U married ur
wife, not u and ur mother. Let her talk in her own husband's house.
17.
There are 5 days each month that you have to say "I'm sorry", "yes
baby" and "I love u" more than 7 times a day. That's when she's
menstrating. #jmelo

Amazing story! Man gives the shirt off his back to shivering old man on NYC Subway (photos)
This has got to be - so far - the best story of 2016. What an amazing
guy. On a very cold Friday night, Jan. 8th, a man spotted a shirtless
black man shivering on an NYC subway and did something most wouldn't
do...he gave the shirt off his back to the stranger. Fortunately, the
heartwarming encounter was captured on video by another passenger,
Lazaro Nolasco, who shared the video on YouTube.
In the clip which has been viewed by millions, the shirtless man was sitting alone on the Brooklyn-bound train, visibly shivering, when the Good Samaritan stepped forward and offered him the t-shirt he'd been wearing. He first extended the t-shirt to the man, then helped him put the t-shirt on. He also went to get a beanie and placed it on the man's head.

Saraki Secretly Send the Budget Back to Buhari Out of Fear?
Where is our 2016 Budget?
It’s 7.49am today, the 4th of January, 2016, and I woke up from sleep with the buzzing sound of my phone. I was still half asleep when I reluctantly picked the call with a weak “hello”.
The caller on the other end shouted, “Deji, you are still sleeping?
Nigeria is going down and you are sleeping. Are you aware that Buhari
withdrew the budget he presented to National Assembly from Saraki, and
Saraki gave it to him out of fear?
Deji, as I speak to you, the National Assembly does not have the budget
any more. Saraki and Dogara are confused. They could not stand up for
our democracy. They have failed our nation. Deji, you people need to
speak up before this man destroys our nation”.
How can a President present a country’s budget and take it back? I remember when a dear sister was so happy and optimistic that the 2016 budget was already out before the year started and said “even with ‘world class economist’ the budget usually come long after the year had started”.
Why is the Senate President mute?
You will recall that Nigerians started an online campaign tagged #BudgetOfYams immediately the breakdown of the 2016 budget appeared on the internet which was posted by an online organization @BudgItNg and further confirmed by the Budget Office of the Federal Government.
Suddenly, it appears they have sneaked the budget back to the villa for ‘cleansing’ and corrections after public outcry by Nigerians in what they termed a budget of waste and recklessness. A budget the PDP has termed a fraud that requires a daily borrowing of N5billion Naira to fund for the next one year.
When the budget was analyzed and criticized for not being a reflection of the present economic realities, worshippers of president Buhari resorted to name calling and hurling of insults in the cyberspace. They said their god can never do any wrong, that he can never make a mistake and knew every content of the budget even when the president through his media chat had hinted he has no full idea about the contents of the 2016 budget.
The question here is, who wrote that budget for president Buhari and convinced him to go and read it before the National Assembly and the whole world? Can we say president Buhari is truly in-charge of this nation if indeed the 2016 budget was written without his consent and input and given to him to just go and read? What is happening to our nation? Every foreign investor, business owner, stakeholders have the right to be afraid as things stand. Will it be right now to call our genuine concerns on the issue of budget as “wailing”? Now that the truth is out suggesting president Buhari withdrew the budget back because he could not believe some of the contents he was told were in it at the Media Chat, are we still “Wailing Wailers”?
In a country where even Banks are now struggling to stay afloat, business owners are being forced to close shop, foreign investors are leaving the country, and our economy almost sliding into recession, we need a president who knows the issues and not a president who does not even know the contents of the budget he read before the whole world.
Where are the human rights activists in Nigeria? Where are all our learned men and women who spoke “big grammar” of “Change” during the elections and challenged every actions and inactions of former president Goodluck Jonathan? How can the president of a democratic nation withdraw a budget he read before all Nigerians at the hallowed chambers of our National Assembly in broad-day light but withdrew same in the middle of the night through the back door? Where is the truth president Buhari claimed to have during the elections? Where is the conscience of our Senate President, Bukola Saraki?
Dear Bukola Saraki and Dogara, where is our budget? Where are those who boasted during Goodluck Jonathan term as president that they were the best lawyers in Nigeria? Where are all the patriots who spoke up for “Change”? Where are those very loud and vocal Nigerians in the international community? Where are those who usually scream impunity during the tenure of Goodluck Jonathan? Here is impunity, tyranny and fiscal irresponsibility all walking on four legs right before all of us, and these arm-chair critics have suddenly disappeared? Where are those people who usually quote the laws and all the sections of constitutions to justify their partisanship on matters of national interest? Who will liberate Nigerians from this tyranny? Have you all gone deaf and dumb that you can no more speak truth to power?
President Buhari is betraying the oath of office he took in a very painful manner. Worst still is the inability of the leadership of our legislature to stand and protect our democracy. These are sad times for democracy in our nation.

Grandfather stabs his two-months-old grandchild to death, wife and daughter also stabbed
A two-month-old baby girl was found stabbed to death in a suburb south of Brisbane, Australia, Courier Mail reports. Qianqian
"Queenie" Xu was allegedly stabbed by her grandfather at the family’s
home in Parkinson about 2.30pm yesterday, January 6.
The child was found in critical state by the police authorities.
Passersby and neighbours reported hearing horrific screams coming from
inside the house. The police officials who responded to calls from
neighbours rushed inside and took the critically injured infant to
hospital but the baby could not be saved. She succumbed to injuries.
Her
grandmother and mother, Yuanyuan Cao, 28, originally from Luoyang in
China, were also stabbed. Ms Yuanyuan’s partner George was working at
the time of the attack.
Duncan
said the baby’s father was at work when police believe the grandfather
started stabbing the trio. The father, a small-business owner, did not
know his child was dead until detectives told him. He is being comforted
by family.
Duncan also added that there were no recent incidents at the home to point to such a horrific turn of events.
"The father actually expressed his surprise that something could happen," he said.
The
grandparents had travelled to Australia from China in December as the
baby’s mother prepared to return to work at a bank and needed help with
childcare.
They had previously been in the country in September for the birth of the child.
Det Insp Duncan said the grandfather, 53, who was found in the front
yard of the property with life-threatening injuries, which police
believe may have been self-inflicted. All three underwent surgery last
night. The grandfather was
out of intensive care and is expected to speak with police in the
coming days. The grandmother is still in intensive care, and the mother
is recovering and has spoken with police.
The horrific incident took place supposedly after an argument broke out between the grandparents and the young mother.
